MoCCAfest 2013 was rad. so probably my favorite thing was meeting this guy Paul Curtis. with him was a copy of Fredric Wertham’s Seduction of the Innocent, an influential screed of the 1950’s that helped start a moral panic over comic books, ending in government censorship. Paul found a copy in a library’s 99 cent bin and has since been carrying this book around to collect autographs & defacement from comic artists. Stan Lee was the first to sign it.
some days I get sad that I left photography, I miss it. this was in Paris, red light district
HALF-DEAD: Part 4 of the Somersault Waltz is now online, with an introduction from Andrew W.K.! Edward Bursch’s faux-found footage saga of Latrobe, Pennsylvania continues, the surreal and absurdly funny story of Tim and his robot personal computer, which may or may not be evil. Can their friend Will be brought back to life? Is that even a good idea? (For the uninitiated, Parts 2 and 3 can be found here. Part 1 has yet to be recovered.)
